Back to School....

Indianapolis got hit Tuesday night with over a foot of snow. Quite a difference in a day! We woke up Wednesday to no school and decently warm outside. Ava spent most of the morning in the snow and after nap time. It was very difficult for her to even walk it was so deep, but we managed to enjoy our time outside - so did Liam (please excuse the purple snowpants - he is very secure with himself!) I had the day off again yesterday, not quite sure why, but I still enjoyed my time with the kids. I will be paying at the end of May when I am making these days up though! Today I have a delay, so it is a lazy morning!

Update: School was canceled. Somehow I did not get the call, but I guess I have a mini-winter break!

Unexpected Long Weekend

Because of the extreme cold temperatures we have had a few extra days off school. Ryan had Thursday and Friday off and I just had Friday. On Friday we decided to go up to Pinheads and let Ava play around on their indoor activity gym. We thought it would be really crowded but we basically had the place to ourselves. The kids had a great time regardless and Ava was feeling really photogenic and let me take her picture.

Saturday night we had Ryan's parents watch the kids and we went out with Megan, James and a few of their friends. James rented a limo and we went to Covington, IN to a steakhouse which was outstanding. I forgot my camera in the car so I don't have any good pictures, but we had a wonderful time and it was great to go out without the kids! Tomorrow, the kids and I are staying home and hanging out. Liam has his 9 month appointment, so it will be interesting to see how much 'Tank' weighs now!

Yesterday we decided to take Ava ice skating. Since it didn't work up in Elkhart because they didn't have ice skates small enough, we decided to take her down here. Downtown there is a place that has public skating and skates small enough for a 2 year old. It was not nearly as cute as the outdoor one in Elkhart but at least we weren't freezing. Ava and I had a great time while Ryan and Liam watched us. She was brave a few times and tried going without holding on. That usually ended up in a fall, but she was a trooper!

Happy 9 months!!!!

Today is Liam's 9 month birthday. How time flies!!! I have a picture of him by his dog at 2 months and now at 9 months. He is so HUGE!!!

We thought it was a little nice out today than it was, so we took a family walk. We are all bundled up, but it was nice to get some fresh air. Liam absolutely loved it!

So handsome!

Today Liam had his first haircut. It was getting a little bit scraggly and growing over his ears, so we went in for a new do. He looks so handsome now. He was a stud driving his Beamer while getting his hair cut. The lady even styled his hair into a faux hawk.....what a stud!!!!
